Commemorating Luminox’s collaboration with the Navy SEALs, Luminox has designed a special programme – the Luminox Special Operations Challenge, where participants can take part in races or training that have been specially designed for special operations military personnel. Teams are challenged not only physically but also mentally - Teamwork, Leadership, Confidence and Communication play a fundamental role in how a Navy SEAL functions in their mission. Luminox is proud the release the new Luminox Spec Ops Challenge (L.S.O.C.) powered by Tough Viking. Tough Viking is a popular Scandinavian obstacle course that was designed for the adventurous, tough and rugged.
As a new generation of L.S.O.C event, Luminox is now initiating the L.S.O.C powered by Tough Viking event. Being the leading and largest obstacle race in Scandinavia, Tough Viking is a natural fit for Luminox. Moreover, the obstacles are designed together with the Swedish special-forces maritime unit, Kustjägarna, reflecting the DNA of the original LSOC concept.
The Tough Viking Special Edition watch comes in black 45mm size Carbon Compound case and olive dark green dial featuring the Tough Viking logo. The Tough Viking logo is a tribute to the vikings’ faith in Thor - the God of Thunder - and is an interpretation of his winged helmet. The case and the uni-directional ratcheting bezel are all made of Carbon Compound which results in an attractive yet incredibly light and durable timepiece. The crystal is scratch-resistant, tempered mineral glass, and the double gasket stainless steel crown enables water resistance to 20ATM and can be used in extreme conditions like diving. The carbon case is often compared to the shape of a turtle, the iconic turtle-shaped Luminox case design features a protected crown balanced by an opposite outcropping that depicts a 200M stamp at the 9 marker. The eye catching bright orange seconds hand efficiently contrasts with the green dial color for enhanced visibility. The Luminox light technology or tritium gas tubes are found on all watches and provides maximum visibility in day or night conditions.
The Tough Viking Special Edition features the newly designed Luminox signature strap and is provided with an additional green webbing strap perfectly matching the watch dial, as well as with a strap changing tool.
